James’ development over recent years has yielded an eclectic body of archive work, which is offered for sale as single, one-off signed originals. The vast majority are on A4 100 gsm Sketch paper and show a transition from the straightforward, almost painterly portrayals of City life, through to the experiments with colour, perspective and outlines, later to become his immediately recognisable ‘transparent  people’…
